Job Title: Financial Advisor (Crypto, Macro)

Location: Remote

Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 (based on experience)

Elwood Research is a mutli-strategy investment and consulting firm dedicated to providing high-quality research and analysis to clients in the business and finance industries. We are seeking a Financial Advisor to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will provide one-on-one advisory services to clients and play a key role in helping them make informed financial decisions.

All experience levels will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one advisory services via Zoom, email, text, and other communication channels
• Build strong relationships with clients
• Stay up to date on market trends and cryptocurrency knowledge

Base Qualifications:

• Desire to become an expert in cryptocurrency, macroeconomics, investing, and personal finance
• Strong communication skills
• Relevant college major (e.g. finance, business, economics, or similar field)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of cryptocurrency, macroeconomics, investing, and personal finance
• Proficiency in technical analysis (TradingView)
• Proficiency in macroeconomic analysis (FRED, CME Group Tools)
• Proficiency in on-chain analysis (Glassnode, Coin Metrics)
• Proficiency in coding languages (Python, C++, Solidity, React, HTML)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Title: Research Intern (Business Book)

Location: Remote

Elwood Research is a multi-strategy investment and consulting firm dedicated to providing high-quality research and analysis to clients in the business and finance industries. We are currently seeking a research intern to join our team and assist with our latest project—a book on business, finance, and human nature.

All experience levels will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting research on a wide range of topics related to business, finance, and human nature
• Analyzing and synthesizing information from a variety of sources, including academic journals, books, and online resources
• Assisting with the organization and categorization of research findings
• Writing clear and concise summaries of research findings and insights
• Editing book chapters to improve clarity

Base Qualifications:

• Familiarity with chatGPT and other research tools
• Must love reading
• Interest in business, finance, psychology, and philosophy
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant major (e.g. business, finance, psychology, philosophy, English, communications)

This is a part-time, unpaid internship with flexible hours. This is not a normal boring internship — we will have fun! You will learn a lot about business, finance, psychology, and philosophy. Stellar performance could result in a paid full-time financial advisory or research position and/or book sales royalties.

Job Title: Full Stack Software Engineer (Crypto Trading Bot)

Location: Remote

Salary: $80,000 to $120,000 (based on experience)

Elwood Research is a multi-strategy investment and consulting firm dedicated to providing high-quality research and analysis to clients in the business and finance industries. We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our remote team and work on our new project–a cryptocurrency trading bot for clients. The prototype has been written in Python, and the ideal candidate will have experience in coding consumer-grade software and knowledge of financial trading.

All experience levels will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of the cryptocurrency trading bot
• Determine the best languages, libraries, and tools to develop the bot
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends in cryptocurrency trading

Base Qualifications:

• Strong experience in coding consumer-grade software
• Background in financial trading
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with financial services industry and cryptocurrency trading
• Strong understanding of software development principles
• Experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React)
